Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland have reportedly confirmed their interest in hosting Euro 2020.
UEFA have received written expression of interest from the three Celtic nations, a source told Press Association Sport.
The trio of countries are believed to have informed UEFA president Michel Platini that they feel capable of running the tournament on a three-way basis - something that has never been done before.
So far Turkey are the only other nation that have notified UEFA of their interest in hosting the competition.
The deadline for applications closes at midnight tonight.
