Scotland boss Gordon Strachan has revealed that striker Steven Fletcher has been ruled out of his side's friendly clash against England.
The 27-year-old was forced off in the 55th minute of Scotland's win over the Republic of Ireland in their Euro 2016 qualifying clash after being challenged by Aiden McGeady.
Strachan admitted that he would not want to risk the long-term fitness of the Sunderland striker in the match at Celtic Park on Tuesday.
He told reporters: "We wouldn't be able to risk him. We wouldn't want to risk it for Sunderland. We'll knock it on the head if he's walking out of here with protective boots on.
"There's no way we're going to try and play him against England."
Scotland moved into third place in Group D with their victory over Ireland.
