Scotland defender Russell Martin has declared that the Tartan Army must avoid defeat in their upcoming World Cup qualifier away to England following Tuesday evening's 3-0 reverse in Slovakia.
The Norwich City captain believes that his side will have a fighting chance of reaching the finals if they pull off a result at Wembley Stadium.
"If you look at the group, England only managed to draw tonight, it leaves us three points off the top. It's such a tight group so we need to pick ourselves up," Martin told reporters. "It's frustrating but we are still in with a shout. We need to make sure we try and get a result against England now."
Scotland's 3-0 defeat in Slovakia came hot on the heels of a disappointing 1-1 draw with Lithuania at home, leaving them in fourth place in Group F after three matches.
