Scunthorpe United striker Tom Hopper leads the nominations for January's Player of the Month award in League One.
The 21-year-old, who is on loan from Leicester City, scored four goals in four games to help the Iron pull away from the drop zone.
MK Dons midfielder Dele Alli is also up for the award as two goals contributed to his side's promotion push. The 18-year-old's performances clearly caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur, who signed the youngster on deadline day before loaning him back to the Dons.
Andy Butler of Doncaster Rovers takes his place on the shortlist following a series of impressive displays in defence for the promotion hopefuls. Having made his move to the club a permanent one from Sheffield United, Butler found the net once during an unbeaten month for Donny.
Completing the quartet of contenders is defender Tom Eastman of Colchester United, whose displays at the back played a part in the strugglers taking seven points from a possible 12.
