Paddy Madden's second-half goal has given Scunthorpe United all three points in their League Two match with Burton Albion.
Both teams looked lively in the opening exchanges, but chances were few and far between.
Burton's Damien McCrory missed a good chance following a corner, while Marcus Holness headed wide of goal.
Sam Winnall's chipped ball then found Dave Syers, but he could not connect with the ball and it went wide.
After the break, Billy Kee fired straight at Scunthorpe keeper Sam Slocombe, before the Iron's Gary McSheffrey put a free kick over the bar.
Madden then unleashed a fierce half-volley that flew into the net and put Scunthorpe in the lead.
They were then given the chance to double their advantage when McSheffrey was brought down inside the box, but Gary McSheffrey's spot kick was saved.
Burton could not find an equaliser, however, meaning that Scunthorpe came away with the win.
