Daniel Carrico is hopeful that Sevilla's entry into the Champions League via their Europa League triumph is enough to see coach Unai Emery stay at the club.
Carlos Bacca scored twice as the Liga outfit beat Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 3-2 in Poland last night to pick up their second successive Europa League title under Emery.
Consequently, Sevilla earn the chance to play among Europe's elite next season, having missed out on the top four by a point, and Carrico hopes that is enough incentive.
Emery has been linked with the vacant Real Madrid and West Ham United jobs in recent days.
"I think he is the key for us. He is our leader, a very important coach. We hope he will stay with us for next season but it is difficult because he is one of the best coaches in the world," Carrico told Goal.com.
"But now that we are going to play in the Champions League I hope that will help to persuade him to stay with us.
"We will beg him to stay. Of course nobody can ask more than to play in the Champions League. We are going to play in the best competition and that might help us when we ask him to stay."
Emery replaced Michel in January, 2013.
