Sevilla president Jose Castro has revealed that his club are waiting for Jesus Navas to respond to a contract offer.
Navas, 31, is available on a free transfer this summer after leaving Manchester City following the expiration of his deal.
It had initially been suggested that Sevilla had been priced out of a move for the Spaniard, but Castro has confirmed that a "pretty generous" offer has been made to bring the attacker back to the Estadio Ramon.
"We sent a proposal and are awaiting a response," Marca quotes Castro as saying. "It is a pretty generous offer with a significant economic effort from us. We love Jesus and I am sure he will want to play at Sevilla."
Navas joined Man City from Sevilla in the summer of 2013, and he scored eight times in 183 appearances for the Citizens, winning one Premier League title and two League Cups in the process.
At Sevilla, he scored 35 times in 393 appearances between 2003 and 2013.
