Kevin Gameiro has said that he is pleased that Sevilla fans have high expectations following his €7.5m (£6.4m) move from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 26-year-old striker was snapped up as a replacement for Alvaro Negredo after deciding to leave the Parc des Princes in order to find regular first-team football.
"I'm very happy with the expectation of the fans and I came here because I want to play, after the past two years, and to help this team with many goals," the Frenchman told reporters.
"I am here because Sevilla are an important club that plays good football and I like the philosophy that they have proposed.
"The first impressions are very good, the city is very nice and I hope that my family also likes it."
The former Lorient man scored eight goals in 25 appearances - 28 from the bench - last season.
