Sheffield United youngster Louis Reed has signed a new three-year deal with the club.
The 17-year-old midfielder made 32 appearances in all competitions for the Blades last season.
Reed became United's youngest ever player to feature in a league game when he turned out against Rotherham United as a 16-year-old in April 2014.
"Louis is another homegrown player and his new contract is another sign of how we appreciate the work that goes on at our Academy at Shirecliffe," manager Nigel Adkins told the club's official website.
"He played a good amount of games last season and was recognised at his age group level by England but Louis is a well grounded lad and knows that there is plenty of hard work ahead of him as he bids to build a successful football career."
Sheffield United start the new League One season with a trip to Gillingham on August 8.
