Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough has revealed that he is keen to boost his squad during the January transfer window.
The in-form Blades are currently in fifth place in the League One table thanks to four wins in their last five games.
Clough hopes that his team can stay among the playoff places by the start of 2015 before dipping into the transfer market to bring in the right players to help their promotion push.
"We want to really kick on in the second half of the season," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "Then we have the chance in January to say 'this is where we are, now what do we need to take it on for the last four months?'. Then we can try and get a player or two."
United continue their League One campaign on Saturday when they welcome Oldham Athletic to Bramall Lane.
