Stuart Gray has confirmed that Lewis McGugan was "knocked out completely" during Sheffield Wednesday's 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
The midfielder, who is on loan from Watford, was stretchered off in a neck brace in the first half at Ewood Park following a mid-air collision with Lee Williamson.
Gray told reporters: "He was knocked out completely. At the moment he's a bit fragile but the medical side will look after that.
"He's obviously come round but he was totally out of it for two or three minutes on the pitch. I think it was precautionary putting the [neck] brace on him."
The win moved the Owls up to 12th in the Championship table.
