Stuart Gray has lavished Leon Best with praise after the striker scored a late winner in a 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night.
The Sheffield Wednesday manager was keen to speak about the striker at the end of the game, but he did admit that his side were perhaps fortunate to pick up all three points in the Championship meeting.
"Credit to Leon Best because he's up there on his own against two quality centre-halves in [Matthew] Upson and [Gordon] Greer; they're barging him, they're bumping him and his ball retention was excellent," Gray told reporters.
"To pick the ball up, to run at them and to pick out the shot was fantastic for him, fantastic for us and a great three points.
"I'm a great believer that the harder you work, the luckier you get and maybe we got that luck at the end with a 1-0 win."
Wednesday moved up to 13th in the Championship thanks the the win at Hillsborough.
