Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones has admitted that the club are interested in taking Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton on loan.
Questions have been raised over the former Newcastle United playmaker's future after he was stripped of the captaincy following the Football Association's decision to ban him for 12 games for two separate incidents of violent conduct on the final day of last season.
"If he did become available it's something we would look at, but there would be many things to consider," said Jones. "I wouldn't be frightened of bringing him here if he became available. His reputation would not put me off."
Meanwhile, QPR manager Mark Hughes has claimed that he remains undecided on whom he will appoint as the team's new captain.
