Aiden McGeady has finalised a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday from Everton.
The Irish winger has been linked with a transfer to numerous clubs, including Blackburn Rovers, Celtic, Leeds United and Spanish side Sevilla.
However, the Owls won the race and will have the 29-year-old in their Championship squad for the remainder of the season.
"I'm very happy to bring McGeady here," the club's Twitter page quotes head coach Carlos Carvalhal as saying. "He has extra quality and I know him very well. He will help us absolutely sure."
McGeady joined Everton from Spartak Moscow in 2014, but in recent seasons has struggled for first-team action.
