Two goals in the last 10 minutes from Scott Vernon rescued Shrewsbury Town a pre-season draw against Watford at Greenhous Meadow.
The visitors were ahead with 18 minutes played when Cristian Battocchio drilled the ball home after some good work by Matej Vydra down the left.
Shrewsbury pushed for a leveller before the interval, and Ashley Vincent blasted a glorious opportunity over the bar from close range following a sustained spell of pressure.
The miss would prove costly three minutes after the restart when an unmarked Tommie Hoban turned Ben Tozer's free kick home to make it 2-0 to Watford.
Fernando Forestieri was worryingly stretchered off the pitch on the 80-minute mark, and things soon turned even worse for the Championship side.
First, Vernon pulled a goal back with eight minutes still to play after beating the offside trap and chipping the ball over Jonathan Bond from the edge of the box, before cleanly striking his second with the last real kick of the game to make it 2-2.
