Shrewsbury Town have extended the loan of Peterborough United winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing for a further month.
The 21-year-old joined the Shrews on an initial month-long loan switch at the end of January.
Shrewsbury manager Mike Jackson has said that Mendez-Laing will have an important role to play as he bids to guide the team away from the League One relegation zone.
"We are going to keep Mendez for another month. I spoke to Barry Fry which was a good conversation as I've never spoken to him before," Jackson told the club's official website.
"Mendez is getting game time and he's improving all the time and he's got that ability to produce something and that is what we need.
"March is going to be a massive month with eight games so will be very important to how our season works out."
Shrewsbury sit 22nd in the table.
