How Slovakia could line up against Spain

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Slovakia could line up for their Euro 2020 clash with Spain on Wednesday.

Slovakia manager Stefan Tarkovic must continue to make do without two players for his side's final group game of Euro 2020 against Spain on Wednesday.

Defender Denis Vavro tested positive for coronavirus last week and remains in self-isolation, while Ivan Schranz is once again expected to miss out as he recovers from a hamstring strain.

Tarkovic has no new concerns from their recent defeat to Sweden, though, and he is not expected to make many changes to the side for their trip to Seville in Group E.

Neither Peter Pekarik nor Tomas Hubocan completed the full 90 minutes on matchday two but are sure to feature from the off here, while Milan Skriniar and Lubomir Satka will continue to shield Martin Dubravka.

Juraj Kucka is unlikely to lose his place in midfield, but he could find himself with a new partner as the defensively-minded Jakub Hromada aims to demote Patrik Hrosovsky down to the bench.

Ondrej Duda, Robert Mak and talisman Marek Hamsik are indispensable in the attacking third, but one final change for Wednesday could see Martin Koscelnik cede his place to Lukas Haraslin as Slovakia aim to seal progress into the last-16 stage.

Slovakia possible starting lineup: Dubravka; Pekarik, Skriniar, Satka, Hubocan; Kucka, Hromada; Haraslin, Hamsik, Mak; Duda
