Stoppila Sunzu's late header has handed Sochaux a 1-0 home win over Guingamp in Ligue 1.
Guingamp created the game's first chance as Rachid Alioui let fly from outside the box after being played in by Mustapha Yatabare, but his shot flew over the bar.
Yatabare was then wasteful himself as he lashed his effort over from the centre of the box, before Sochaux's Cedric Bakambu drilled his shot straight into a defender from a good position.
The hosts almost took the lead when Sebastien Roudet delivered a telling pass for Sunzu, who forced a world-class save from Guingamp keeper Mamadou Samassa as the ball looked headed for the top corner.
Roudet was at it again just before half time when he played in Jordan Ayew, who drew a save out of the goalkeeper at the bottom right-hand corner of his goal.
Sochaux grabbed the vital goal, however, with the game looking likely to end in a draw, as Sunzu latched onto Roudet's cross to head past Samassa from six yards out and earn the hosts three points.
