Goals either side of half time from Christopher Glombard and Prince Oniangue helped Reims to a 2-0 victory over Sochaux in Ligue 1.
Following a slow start to the match, Reims took the lead with 16 minutes played thanks to a horror show at the back from Sochaux. Goalkeeper Simon Pouplin and Mathieu Peybernes got in a mix up on the edge of the box which resulted in the former missing his kick on the loose ball and allowing Glombard to nip in between the duo and tap the ball into an empty net.
The home side controlled the remainder of the half but failed to find a way through a resilient Reims defence, and were booed off at the break.
Reims nearly wrapped up the win 18 minutes from time, but Lionel Zouma made a last-ditch tackle to deny Nicolas de Preville when through on goal.
However, Reims did make sure of the result with just three minutes to go when Pouplin saved De Preville's powerful low effort with his legs, but the ball fell onto the head of Oniangue, who nodded into an empty net from less than a yard out.
Reims move up to 10th with the victory, while Sochaux remain bottom and seven points adrift of safety.
