Sochaux have boosted their hopes at the bottom of Ligue 1 with a 2-1 victory over Rennes at Stade Auguste Bonal.
Cedric Bakambu made it 1-0 from the penalty spot after Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik fouled Roy Contout inside the area in the 17th minute.
However, the visitors equalised with a penalty of their own five minutes before the break.
Sebastien Corchia was the guilty party, bringing down Romain Alessandrini, who got up to beat Benoit Costil from 12 yards.
The game was decided by a second goal from Bakambu in the 71st minute, as he ran onto Vincent Nogueira's through-ball and slotted past Pierrick Cros.
