Southampton manager Nigel Adkins has said that his side must continue to focus on one game at a time with just four games remaining in the season.
Adkins, whose side have sat within the top two spots in the Championship all season long, insists that the club cannot afford to change their approach at this late stage in the season.
"The season is a long old campaign," he told the club's official website.
"You can liken it to the Grand National because each game is like a fence. You just have to focus on one game at a time or one fence at a time.
"We have been in the top two for the whole season. If we can maintain that then we have a chance to achieve something special."
