Southampton manager Nigel Adkins has vowed to send his Southampton side out with a positive attitude against Manchester City on the opening day of the Premier League season.
The newly-promoted Saints have been handed arguably the toughest start to life back in the top flight.
However, Adkins believes that his team have nothing to lose from their trip to the Etihad Stadium.
"We go to Manchester City and I don't think we'll be expected to win up there so it's all to gain, isn't it? We'll go and be positive," he told the club's official website.
Southampton's first home game has pitted them against Wigan Athletic.
