Southampton new boy Jordy Clasie has revealed that the presence of manager Ronald Koeman played a large part in his decision to join the Saints.
The Netherlands midfielder, 24, sealed an £8m move to St Mary's on Wednesday following a 15-year spell with Feyenoord.
Clasie broke down in tears at the end of the 2013-14 campaign when ex-Feyenoord coach Koeman addressed a 50,000-strong crowd ahead of joining the Premier League side.
"The manager is someone who played a big role in my development so I am pleased we are going to work together again," he told Southampton's official website.
"I am an emotional person and at times such as when I am on the pitch it is hard to stop."
Clasie is the club's fifth signing of the summer thus far, following goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, defenders Cedric Soares and Cuco Martina and striker Juanmi.
