Southampton's Fraser Forster has played down suggestions that he can usurp Joe Hart as England's number-one goalkeeper.
The 26-year-old produced his first clean sheet in the Premier League by keeping West Bromwich Albion at bay in Saturday's 0-0 draw at St Mary's.
However, Forster, a £10m signing by the Saints this summer, has refused to look beyond his club commitments when asked about his aspirations at international level.
He told Sky Sports News: "I'm new in the door at Southampton and I just want to work as hard as I can and improve.
"I just want to do as well I can for Southampton and see where it takes me. I don't want to put too much pressure on what I want to do. I will be taking it week by week and game by game."
The former Celtic stopper travelled to Brazil for the World Cup with the Three Lions earlier this summer, but did not feature in any of England's three fixtures.
