Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has revealed that new signing Eljero Elia will play an active part in the club's upcoming games.
Elia, who has moved to St Mary's from Werder Bremen for the rest of the season, hasn't played since November 23, but Koeman has indicated that the Dutch international will make his debut against Manchester United on Sunday.
The 51-year-old told reporters: "He will be part of the squad for this Sunday. The question is whether he's in shape to start the game.
"We know that he hasn't played for a long time, but to get that rhythm you need minutes - and we will give them."
Elia made a total of nine appearances in the Bundesliga this season before moving to England.
