Southampton have reached an agreement to sign Werder Bremen winger Eljero Elia on loan until the end of the season.
The Dutchman, who has won 27 caps for his country, will complete his move to St Mary's when the transfer window re-opens on January 3.
The 27-year-old will initially join on loan until the end of the current season, with a view to making the move permanent next summer.
Ronald Koeman admitted earlier today that he was interested in signing the wide man, and the Saints have moved quickly to wrap up the deal.
Elia has made nine appearances for Werder Bremen this season, but has not featured for the Bundesliga outfit in the last month and is yet to score for the club this term.
The former FC Twente, Hamburg and Juventus man has been brought in as cover for Sadio Mane, who is expected to leave for the African Cup of Nations in January.
