Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has played down his side's 1-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon, believing that his charges had spells of dominance in the game and performed well.
Christian Eriksen scored the only goal of the match to end a four-game winning run for the Saints.
Koeman told reporters after the game: "It was difficult. We knew before the game that they are strong. The game was in the balance.
"They had good moments but in the second half little-by-little we had some dominance in the game. It is all about scoring goals and they did it better than us. I am happy with the performance today."
Southampton are third after today's game.
