Southampton are yet to offer Mauricio Pochettino a new deal, despite rumours linking the manager with a move away from the club.
Pochettino is seen as one of brightest young coaches in the league after transforming Southampton from relegation candidates to contenders for a European place.
The Argentine has been linked with the job at Tottenham Hotspur, but has refused to comment on any speculation.
"I have until next season. My contract runs into next season, but we have not spoken about it yet," Pochettino told reporters.
The 41-year-old also told the Southern Daily Echo that he did not know when negotiations will start.
"It's not up to me, it's not my decision," he said. "I have a contract until the end of next season and, at the moment, we're fully focused on the game up ahead – that's 100% our focus, nothing else.
"My rule is that I never talk about assumptions, I never talk about rumours. I don't speak about intangible things that aren't really real, so I don't want to comment on that."
