Southampton have been hit with a £20,000 fine from the Football Association for failing to control their players.
The former Championship outfit were charged by the English governing body following their goalless draw with Norwich City at Carrow Road last Saturday.
The matter refers to the angry reaction from a number of Saints players towards referee Mark Clattenburg following the match official's decision to award a penalty to Norwich's Grant Holt, who failed to convert.
The FA have announced that the coastal club has admitted the charge and been dealt a financial blow as punishment.
Meanwhile, Southampton are due to take on Liverpool at St Mary's tomorrow.
