Norwich City have been held to a goalless draw at home by Southampton after Grant Holt missed a last-minute penalty.
Southampton had the better of the early chances, with Jay Rodriguez and Adam Lallana creating chances in the opening half-hour.
Robert Snodgrass had two efforts stopped by Artur Boruc towards the end of the first half, including a shot directly from a free kick.
The Canaries appealed for a penalty just before half time, after Lallana appeared to handle the ball, but the spot kick was not awarded.
The teams returned from the dressing rooms at half time to snowy conditions at Carrow Road.
After a quiet start to the second half, Rodriguez saw his shot saved by Mark Bunn before Rickie Lambert had an effort go over the crossbar.
Boruc had to make two saves in as many minutes as Javier Garrido and Wes Hoolahan looked for the elusive first goal of the game.
Holt won a penalty for Norwich in stoppage time after being fouled by Luke Shaw, but he fired the ball straight at Boruc, giving the Saints keeper a simple save.
The point leaves Southampton four points clear of the relegation zone, while Norwich remain 13th.
