Southampton are reportedly ready to reward Sadio Mane with a new contract with the club.
The winger had been linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer and according to The Mirror, talks are to begin soon on improved terms after Mane impressed in his first season on the South Coast.
Saints manager Ronald Koeman revealed that he had not talked to the player about a potential move to Manchester and there was no issues with the Senegal international.
Koeman told reporters: "I didn't have any discussion with Mane about Man United's interest.
"He was doing well, training normally, playing normally. And, if the behaviour is OK from the player, then there are no questions.
"There was no issue – not for Mane and not for the club."
Mane joined Southampton from Red Bull Salzburg for £10m last summer, scoring 10 goals.
