Southampton and Derby County are set to battle it out for the signature of Heracles Almelo winger Edwin Gyasi, according to reports.
The 23-year-old is known by Saints manager Ronald Koeman from his time managing AZ and Feyenoord, but Derby County boss Steve McClaren worked with Gyasi when he was in charge of FC Twente.
Gyasi made 13 appearances for McClaren's side, before he moved to Heracles last summer.
However, he has fallen out of favour at his new club, and is thought to be keen on a move to England, according to the Daily Mail.
Heracles, who currently sit second bottom of the Eredivisie, could be willing to let Gyasi move on in January.
