Southampton are reportedly considering making a move for former Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old moved to Monaco over the summer on a four-year deal for a reported £9.9m fee and has made five Ligue 1 appearances for the side to date, scoring once.
According to The Mirror, the Saints are in the market for firepower when the transfer window re-opens, having scored just nine times in 11 league games this season, and have put Jovetic at the top of their wishlist.
The publication claims that the Montenegro international is "unhappy" at Monaco, having been used sparingly since his transfer from Inter Milan, making the possibility of a prompt exit more likely.
Jovetic made 28 league appearances and contributed eight goals during his three-year spell with City.
