Southampton have allowed winger Sofiane Boufal to join Celta Vigo on a season-long loan deal.
Boufal linked up with the Saints in 2016, but scored just three goals in 50 Premier League appearances before a disagreement with new boss Mark Hughes towards the end of the last campaign.
Earlier on Friday, it was reported that Boufal was likely to sign for Nice on a temporary basis, but it has now been revealed that the Moroccan will make the switch to La Liga.
Southampton have not disclosed whether they have given Celta Vigo the option to buy at the end of the deal, but Boufal still has three years remaining on his contract.
Boufal becomes the second player to leave the south coast for Spain after Guido Carrillo penned a similar agreement with Leganes earlier this month.
