Southend United boss Phil Brown has insisted that his side are still "in a really good position" as they attempt to secure promotion from League Two.
Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Dagenham & Redbridge left the former Championship outfit in seventh place in the table, just three points off automatic promotion.
"We just have keep going. We're heading towards the home straight now, and we're still in a really good position. It was always going to be a tricky away test here but I thought we played really well in the first half, without gaining any reward," he told reporters at a press conference.
"It's just about trying to maintain this bit of momentum now. I know there was the disappointment of the Hull game at the weekend, but we've bounced back pretty well.
"It's really tough and so close at the top. It's going to be quite an exciting end to the season and the promotion and play-offs are probably going to go to the wire."
The Shrimpers return to league action at home to Newport County on Friday evening.
