Southend United boss Phil Brown has revealed that the club have received a third bid from Queens Park Rangers for goalkeeper Daniel Bentley.
Last month, Blues chairman Ron Martin confirmed that he rejected an offer from Hull City for the 22-year-old stopper.
QPR are now believed to have made an offer in excess of £1m, but Brown has suggested that Bentley could remain with the Essex outfit beyond the transfer window.
He told the Southend Echo: "QPR have followed up their enquiry with another bid which is now in the hands of the chairman and chief executive.
"I've offered my recommendations but as things stand Dan will be in the sticks for Southend United against Walsall and long may that continue as far as I'm concerned."
Bentley's current deal with the Blues expires next summer.
