Spain forward Paco Alcacer has praised David de Gea after the goalkeeper kept a clean sheet on his first competitive appearance for La Roja in last night's 4-0 win over Luxembourg.
The Manchester United stopper replaced Iker Casillas in the XI and the 23-year-old is now expected to be his nation's number one.
"He didn't have a lot of shots against him but he did enough to where the team feels safe with him, but this team has great goalkeepers like De Gea, Iker and Kiko Casilla," Alcacer told reporters after the match.
Alcacer scored his team's second of the match last night, taking his tally to three goals in four appearances for the national team.
