Spain boss Vicente del Bosque has revealed that he always planned to change goalkeepers for last night's 4-0 win over Luxembourg.
David de Gea was given the gloves for the Euro 2016 qualifier, but Del Bosque has insisted that Iker Casillas was not dropped.
"We had planned this change and wanted there to be a smooth transition, so they're both used to playing," Del Bosque told AS.
"We want them to be familiar little by little, both David and Iker."
Casillas has come under increasing pressure in recent months due to a series of high-profile errors.
