Spain forward Rodrigo has revealed his delight after making his debut for the senior team in last night's 4-0 win over Luxembourg.
The 23-year-old, who is currently on loan at Valencia from Benfica, appeared in the second half of the Euro 2016 qualifier.
"Making my debut with the senior side is one of the most important days of my career," he told reporters after the match.
"I've been playing for Spain from the youth levels and my goals was to make it to the senior side. Now I have to keep doing well because in order to be here you have to do very well."
Rodrigo scored 15 times in 16 matches for Spain's Under-21 side.
