How Spain could line up against Norway

Sports Mole looks at how Spain could line up in Saturday's Euro 2020 qualifier with Norway.

Spain will be looking for their seventh straight Group F victory when they travel to Norway on Saturday night.

La Roja have taken 18 points from their six group games thus far as they breeze towards qualification for Euro 2020.

Robert Moreno's side recorded a 4-0 victory over the Faroe Islands on home soil last time out, but they only just overcame Romania in their last away fixture - ultimately running out 2-1 winners in Bucharest.

Saturday will bring just the eighth meeting between these two national teams, with Spain leading the head-to-head five wins to one while they also played out a draw back in 1996.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Spain could line up at the Ullevaal Stadion.

Spain will be without the likes of Jordi Alba, Jose Gaya, Isco, Dani Parejo and Paco Alcacer for their next two matches, while Alvaro Morata was also somewhat surprisingly left out of the squad despite Moreno's lack of proven options in the final third of the field.

There are new faces in the shape of Sergio Reguilon, Pau Torres and Gerard Moreno, though, and there is a genuine chance that the latter could start in the centre-forward position on Saturday night.

No player has scored more times in La Liga than Moreno this season, with the striker netting six times in eight appearances during a strong start to the 2019-20 campaign.

Rodrigo Moreno and Mikel Oyarzabal started the victory over the Faroe Islands last time out and should continue in the XI, while Sergio Busquets is expected to feature in the middle of the park.

There are a number of decisions to be made further back with the likes of Inigo Martinez and Diego Llorente competing for the centre-back spot alongside Sergio Ramos, while Juan Bernat will hope to edge out Reguilon to feature on the left side of the back four.

Fabian Ruiz, who continues to be linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona, is an option for the middle of the park, although Thiago and Saul Niguez should both keep their positions alongside vice-captain Busquets.
