Cesc Fabregas has claimed that Spain's 2-0 win over England on Friday is a sign that La Roja are getting back to their best.
Goals from Mario Gaspar and Santi Cazorla were enough as Vicente del Bosque's men brushed aside the Three Lions in a friendly in Alicante.
The visitors had won all 10 of their Euro 2016 qualifiers, and Fabregas says that Spain, who suffered a shock group-stage exit in the defence of their title at the World Cup in 2014, are improving.
"We recovered things we were missing at the last World Cup," the Chelsea midfielder told ITV Sport.
"Tonight we proved we can beat anyone because England are a great squad full of quality players. The way we played against them showed our football was impressive."
Spain lost once in Euro 2016 qualifying, winning the other nine games in Group C.
