Spain captain Sergio Ramos has said that his team lost to a "world-class" England side on Monday night.
England stunned Spain by scoring three times in the first 38 minutes of their UEFA Nations League affair in Seville.
La Roja responded with two goals in the second period, but their second did not arrive until deep into stoppage time, and England therefore collected an impressive three points on the night.
Ramos was full of praise for the Three Lions after the final whistle and also thanked the Spain fans for sticking with their team despite a difficult first 45 minutes.
"England are world-class opponents with some very dangerous players. We had to forget the first half and turn it around in the time it took them to go 3-0 up," Ramos told reporters. "The positive thing was the reaction of the team, and I thank the city of Seville. It was a pleasure to play here. The fans spur you on."
England have collected four points from their League A4 matches to sit second in the section.
