Fresh off the back of securing their biggest-ever World Cup victory, Spain take on fellow European heavyweight Germany in the second round of Group E fixtures on Sunday.
Luis Enrique's side recorded an opening-game victory at the World Cup for the first time since 2006 when they steamrolled rank outsiders Costa Rica 7-0 at the Al Thumama Stadium last Wednesday.
In stark contrast, Germany were left stunned by Japan as Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano scored in an eight-minute spell to cancel out Ilkay Gundogan's first-half opener and condemn Die Mannschaft to an embarrassing defeat.
Ahead of Sunday's meeting between Spain and Germany, Sports Mole looks at how the squads of the two European heavyweights stack up against each other.
