Goals from Eduardo Vargas and Charles Aranguiz gave Chile a 2-0 win over Spain in their World Cup Group B clash this evening.
Spain entered the match needing to avoid defeat to have a chance of progressing ahead of their final group match against Australia.
However, Chile secured their spot in the round of 16 with a relatively comfortable win over the European and world champions.
Here, Sports Mole takes a look at who impressed during the 90 minutes of action.
SPAIN
Goal
Iker Casillas: Unfortunately, it was another night to forget. Made a meal of Sanchez's free kick which led to Chile's second and was caught flapping at crosses. Poor tournament for the veteran. (4/10)
Defence
Cesar Azpilicueta: Entered the tournament off the back of a fine season with Chelsea, but has been unable to replicate his club form. Full of energy, but failed to influence the match in forward areas. (5/10)
Javi Martinez: Replaced Pique in the XI and proved a steadying influence. However, was caught out alongside Pique for Chile's opening goal. (6/10)
Sergio Ramos: Went close with a couple of long-range efforts and headers, but was defensively suspect at times. Not helped by lack of regular partner at heart of defence. (6/10)
Jordi Alba: Again struggled to break forward, with Chile's 3-5-2 formation occupying Alba in defensive areas. That said, was probably the pick of the back four. (6/10)
Midfield
Andres Iniesta: Another busy performance from the Barcelona midfielder. Produced a number of incisive passes in the final third, but too often lacked options in advanced positions. (7/10)
Xabi Alonso: Really poor night by his own high standards. Set-piece delivery was disappointing and continually lost possession. Was replaced by Koke at the interval. (4/10)
Sergio Busquets: Provided a solid base in the middle of the park, but passing was surprisingly wayward. Also missed a glorious opportunity from close range in the early stages of the second period. (5/10)
Attack
David Silva: Brilliant for Manchester City last season, but did not have same effect this summer. Laboured and too often shrugged off the ball. (5/10)
Diego Costa: Did not look fully fit following a thigh injury and once more struggled to make his mark in attack. Strong, but ineffective display from the 25-year-old. (5/10)
Pedro: Brought into the XI to provide pace and guile in wide areas, but was untidy in possession and failed to provide adequate support to lone forward Costa. (5/10)
Substitutes
Koke: Replaced Alonso at the interval and certainly made a difference. Was arguably his side's brightest player in the second period. (7/10)
Fernando Torres: Introduced in place of Costa just past the hour mark, but had little service. (5/10)
Santi Cazorla: Tested Bravo with a late free kick and provided a threat in wide positions, but struggled to seriously influence the match after arriving 15 minutes from time. (6/10)
CHILE
Goal
Claudio Bravo: Looks set to join Barcelona after the World Cup and continued his impressive form with a confident display between the sticks. Made a couple of smart saves and was strong from crosses. (7/10)
Defence
Gary Medel: Unorthodox centre-back dealt with the physical threat of Costa and was prepared to bring the ball out of defence. (7/10)
Gonzalo Jara: Another that matched up to the physical threat of Costa, while he also showed good pace to nullify the threat of Pedro, especially in the first period. (7/10)
Francisco Silva: Brought into the XI to sure up the defensive and did just that. Strong aerially and proved a calming influence in the back four. (6/10)
Midfield
Eugenio Mena: Energetic performance from the wing-back, who simply did not stop running. Caused Spain problems with a couple of dangerous crosses. (6/10)
Charles Aranguiz: Set up Vargas for Chile's first, before scoring the second with a brilliant finish. Tournament could now be in doubt, however, after going off injured late on. (8/10)
Marcelo Diaz: Went about his work quietly in the middle of the park, with Alonso and Busquets struggling to get the better of the FC Basel midfielder. (6/10)
Mauricio Isla: Bit-part player for Juventus last season, but key to this Chile side, with his energy and off-the-ball work proving key. However, missed a sitter late on. (6/10)
Arturo Vidal: Played centre-forward, central midfield and defensive midfield in a sensational all-round performance. Was simply everywhere for his country before being replaced late on. (8/10)
Attack
Alexis Sanchez: Played a part in both goals this evening, first feeding Aranguiz in the build-up to their opener, before his free kick allowed Aranguiz to capitalise on a poor Casillas punch. (7/10)
Eduardo Vargas: Showed brilliant awareness to poke home Chile's first of the evening and proved a constant threat to the Spain defence. (7/10)
Substitutes
Felipe Gutierrez: Replaced Aranguiz just past the hour mark and did not take long to pick up the pace of the game. Slotted effortlessly into the middle of the park. (6/10)
Carlos Carmona: Replaced Vidal after 88 minutes so had little time to make an impact. (5/10)
Jorge Valdivia: Entered with just five minutes remaining, but showed his class on the ball. (6/10)
