Luiz Felipe Scolari has hinted that he could be interested in taking the managerial vacancy at Sporting Lisbon.
The Portuguese club are looking for a new boss following the sacking of Ricardo Sa Pinto earlier this month.
Scolari has been out of work since his contract with Brazilian side Palmeiras was ended in September.
"I do not know anything yet. Tomorrow I will meet with [agent] Jorge Mendes to find out if there are any proposals for me to decide," the 63-year-old told Chinese news agency Xinhua.
"If a club has not won a title for four or five years, they may approach a coach who appears to be a champion."
Scolari has managed a host of teams, including Chelsea, Brazil and Portugal, during a colourful 30-year management career.
