Emmanuel Adebayor has thanked Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood for giving him the confidence to play a key role in the side once again.
The striker continued his impressive run of form by scoring twice as Spurs beat Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 3-1 on Thursday night to book their spot in the last 16 of the Europa League.
"I'm very glad at being on the pitch, scoring goals, playing very well for my team, helping my team and I just have to keep the focus, keep going, keep playing well," Adebayor, who had fallen down the pecking order under Andre Villas-Boas, told reporters.
"I want to say big thanks for the new gaffer, who came in and gave me my confidence back, gave me the stage to play on.
"Everything's going well for me, for him and for the club."
Spurs will face Benfica in the next round of the competition.
