Christian Eriksen retains Champions League qualifying hopes

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen hopes that the club can string together a few victories in the Premier League in order to climb into the top four.

Christian Eriksen remains confident that Tottenham Hotspur can finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, having grown used to life under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs, who are currently 10th in the league table, last competed in the Champions League three years ago.

However, Eriksen insists that his side can qualify for Europe's showpiece competition once more by stringing together a run of victories.

"We are just two points off the top four and two or three wins in a row then you know [you are up there]," the Denmark international is quoted as saying by ESPN.

"Hopefully we will continue what we started on Sunday [at Hull] and this Sunday [against Everton] have a good win also. When you see the teams who should normally be in the top six nowhere near, you realise everything can change and that the league is ever so tight with a lot of points to play for."

Spurs can also qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League, with victory against Partizan Belgrade this evening enough for them to secure their passage into the knockout stages.
