Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that Danny Rose was "frustrated" about being substituted in Wednesday night's Champions League match against APOEL.
The left-back has been linked with a move away from the North London outfit amid rumours that he has become disgruntled at the club.
Manchester United and Chelsea have been touted as potential destinations for the England international ahead of the January transfer window.
Even though Pochettino has admitted that Rose was unhappy about being taken off in the 70th minute of Tottenham's 3-0 victory at Wembley due to a cut that he suffered, the manager has insisted that there is no deeper meaning behind the player's reaction.
"Players are never happy when they are going out," the Argentine told BT Sport. "He had a big cut and the doctors said he needed a stitch and it was impossible to play. Of course the player was frustrated because it was Champions League but nothing wrong."
Spurs head into the last 16 as Group H winners above Real Madrid.
