England manager Roy Hodgson has allegedly told Harry Kane that he will start Friday evening's Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania on the substitutes' bench.
The Three Lions boss is planning to start with a three-pronged attack comprising Wayne Rooney, Raheem Sterling and Danny Welbeck, according to The Mirror.
Tottenham Hotspur striker Kane has found the net 29 times this season, putting Hodgson under pressure to introduce him to the international fold.
The 21-year-old is expected to make his debut for the national team in either the Lithuania clash or the friendly against Italy in Turin next Tuesday.
Kane has scored eight goals in 10 appearances for the England Under-21s, and represented his country at various other youth levels.
