Nuno Espirito Santo laments Tottenham Hotspur's 'unorganised' display in their Europa Conference League defeat to Pacos de Ferreira on Thursday night.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo has admitted that his side were "not organised enough" during their Europa Conference League defeat to Pacos de Ferreira on Thursday night.

The Portuguese coach handed competitive debuts to Bryan Gil, Cristian Romero and Pierluigi Gollini in his homeland, but a mixture of youth and experience failed to fire in the playoff round first leg.

Pacos attacker Lucas Silva netted the only goal of the game on the stroke of half time, and Santo has admitted that the defeat is a momentum killer ahead of Sunday's reunion with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Speaking to reporters at his post-match press conference, Nuno said: "We didn't underestimate them. The decision was made and the main decision was to use all of the squad. As a team we were not organised enough and didn't play the ball quick enough.

"It impacts a lot. Nobody likes to lose a game and not play well. The feel good factor is gone but that's football. Now we have to get it back on Sunday."

The Spurs boss also provided an update on Harry Kane - left at home for the trip to Portugal - adding: "Kane trained today with the players that stayed in England. He trained well and he'll train tomorrow, and when we return he'll be part of the group."

Spurs now travel to Molineux for Sunday's battle with Wolves before attempting to overturn their Conference League deficit in the capital next Thursday. body check tags ::
